[Open Learning Analytics and measuring ‘success’]1 Open Learning Analytics – what is it, how can it help? In my last couple of blogs, I’ve looked a bit at the importance of innovation in platforms and curricula design over content delivery (here), and one example – Edu-Browse – of a possible tool, alongside some other sources for Ed-Tech tools. In this blog, I discuss the Open Learning Analytics frame which proposes to bring together sources to create analytics for all stakeholders in the learning process. I also discuss one measure from my own research – search ‘success’ – to highlight some of the difficulties we face when measuring what appear to be quite intuitive concepts.
